The Law Offices of David Barmak, LLC specializes in health care issues for nursing homes and assisted living facilities in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania including general business matters, risk management programs as well as liability defense actions.

Under our pro-active risk management program we continuously review practices and procedures in order to ensure our clients' facilities are in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. We regularly meet with staff, including nurses, certified nurse assistants, administrators, privacy officers, compliance officers and quality assurance committees for continuing education and oversight.

Our familiarity with practices and procedures has allowed us to develop a specialty in litigation matters in which we are defending malpractice cases on behalf of our clients and at times acting as co-counsel and or litigation consultants for insurance company defense counsel.

As part of our service to insurance company defense counsels we offer focus groups and mock trials to better prepare for both discovery and trial. We also can assist in locating and selecting outside clinical expert witnesses for purpose of courtroom testimony.
